Tim has 30+ years of global business leadership experience. He served as an executive (Group President, Sector President, Segment COO) for ITW, Marmon, and Oshkosh Corp and achieved record setting growth and profit levels in highly diverse industries such as industrial welding systems, cosmetic marketing tools, and custom fire apparatus. In the middle of his career, he led sales for a $50+ million family-owned welding, fire protection, and fastener distributor and implemented ground breaking services such as vendor managed inventory and vending machines. While business performance was always critically important, he's most proud of the people he has helped develop and inspire to create these and their own

2024 marks 34 years of marriage to my wonderful wife and life partner, Lisa. We have two young adult daughters who are already etching their own Uncommon Achievements and making us extremely proud. I'm a Christian in training. I'm steadily absorbing the word of God and engaging with other like people to help foster a closer relationship with Him, to be his servant, and to create Uncommon Achievements in his honor.
A thirty plus year professional career with a large family owned business and three of the best diversified industrial companies on the planet. Logical progression from technical, to technical leadership, to sales, sales leadership, operations, general management, and global group leadership. Along the way, I was involved in nearly a dozen acquisitions, and several green-field startups. Working in industries as varied as industrial welding systems, to cosmetic marketing tools, waste collection vehicles, and custom fire apparatus.
Charters that ranged from urgent turn arounds, to creating highly differentiated long-term profitable growth. Market conditions that varied from white hot double digit compounded multiyear growth to single year revenue losses of 45%.
Along the way, I’m proud to say the organizations I was fortunate enough to steward, consistently generated what I like to refer to as Uncommon Achievements.
I’m talking best in history margins, industry leading innovations, and patents (I personally have two), and targeted market share gains. And in the bad years, world class decrementals while keeping a strong team and the investments necessary to outpace competitors during recovery.
I was also fortunate to be allowed to make mistakes. Many of them. Most were small, but created setbacks nonetheless. Some were bigger and required some retrenching. I had some fantastic bosses, and some absolutely horrible ones as well.
And through it all, I was truly blessed to work with, coach, and develop some absolutely wonderful people. And that was sincerely what made it meaningful and fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I love driving positive business results and winning. I’m proud of the performance records of the business I directed. But the Joy came from seeing the growth of people and watching them stretch to generate their own Uncommon Achievements.
