For clarity, Uncommon Achievements is a coaching business.

Consultants are often hired when a client is likely facing an urgent situation and they truly don’t know what to do, and or don’t have the time, experience or confidence to choose a course of action.  So, they hire a consultant who has the necessary experience to tell them what to do, how to do it, and in some cases to manage the change.

Coaches are used to help clients generate their own solutions.  A coach will use a variety of approaches to facilitate thought provoking engagement that helps the client fully leverage his or her own skills, knowledge and experience to solve an issue, improve or maximize a situation, achieve a goal, or amplify potential.

For business coaching, common 80/20 Pareto principle tools including quadrant and quartile analysis are used frequently.  Where helpful, application assistance and training is available.

For leadership coaching , elements such as feedback and strength assessments are commonly applied
